BEANS
Kabarima beans wholesale price dropped by 10Kwach/kg (-12.5%) while the retail price dropped by 10Kwacha/kg (-11.8%). Kabulangeti beans wholesale and retail prices dropped by the same margines of 10Kwacha and (-12.5%) & (-11.8%) wholesale and retail prices, respectively.
Sugar Beans wholesale and retail prices followed a similar drop to that of Kabarima and Kabulangeti beans. While the price of Mixed beans increased by 5 Kwacha for both the wholesale and retail prices. Increases of 8.3% and 7.7% wholesale and retail prices respectively.
CHICKEN
Chicken wholesale and retail prices remained the same except for Gomora Chicken whose wholesale price increased by 30Kwacha (17.6%), and
Sasso Chicken whose wholesale price dropped by 20Kwacha -16.7% and retail price drop of 60Kwach -33.3% drop.
FISH
Fish prices remained the same except for the Namibian Fish Thomson 20kg whose wholesale price dropped by 19.26Kwach -1.9% and a retail price drop of 19.53 Kwacha -1.9%. Namibian Fish Thomson 30kg Wholesale price increased by 448.23 Kwach a 31.5% increase and a retail price increase of 418.15 27.2%.
BREAD FLOUR
Bread Flour25kg pack wholesale price dropped by 95.06 15.9% while the retail price dropped by 47.72 Kwacha a 7.9% drop.
FRUITS
Lemon wholesale price increased by 150 Kwacha a 75.0% increase while the retail also increased by 150Kwacha a 60% increase. There were no price changes in both the wholesale and retail prices of local oranges. Watermelon’s wholesale price remained unchanged while the retail price dropped by 10 Kwacha a 12.5% drop.
Livestock prices remained unchanged.
MAIZE/CORN – 23 Dec 2025
Popcorn prices remained the same for both the wholesale and retail prices. Except for the Orange Popcorn whose wholesale price dropped by 5 Kwacha a -1.88% drop while the retail price dropped by 8.83 Kwacha a -1.88%. The South Africa Maize Meal wholesale price dropped by 7.76 Kwacha a -44.44% drop. With a retail price drop of 400Kwacha a -40% drop.
MEAT –
There were no price changes in both the wholesale and retail meat prices.
NUTS
Bambara Nuts Wholesale and Retail price dropped by 400 Kwacha a -44.44% and -40.00% change in wholesale and retail price respectively. Fresh Groundnuts 25kg Bag price increased by 50 Kwacha both the wholesale and retail a 25% and 20% increase for the wholesale and retail prices respectively. Fresh Groundnuts 50jg Bag prices also increased by 50 Kwacha both the wholesale and retail a 12.50% and 11.11% increase for the wholesale and retail prices respectively. There were no changes in the Congolese Red Shelled Groundnuts. The Congolese White Shelled Groundnuts both the wholesale and retail prices decreased by 15Kwacha a 16.67% and 15.79% drop for the wholesale and retail prices respectively. The Tanzania White Shelled Groundnuts wholesale and retail prices dropped by 10Kwacha a 10% and 9.09% drop on the wholesale and retail prices respectively.
RICE
There were no reported price changes for both the Wholesale and Retail prices of Kaputa Rice.
The Wholesale and Retail price of Nakonde Rice increased by 10 Kwacha a 14.29% and 13.33% increase on both the Wholesale and Retail prices respectively.
ROOTS & TUBERS
There were no reported price changes for both the Wholesale and Retail prices of the Kaputa Rice. The Wholesale and Retail price of Nakonde Rice increased by 10 Kwacha a 14.29% and 13.33% increase on both the Wholesale and Retail prices respectively.
SPICES
The price of Galic, Ginger, and most varieties of chilies remained unchanged for both the wholesale and retail prices. Except Chili Mbuzi wholesale and retail price which increased by 50Kwach for both the wholesale and retail. A 25% and 20% price increase respectively. Botswana Salt 50Kg Bag decreased by 4.82Kwacha (-1.88%) on the Wholesale price and 4.98 Kwacha (-1.88%) on the retail price. The changes were mostly US$/Kwacha foreign exchange rate. The price of Namibia Salt dropped by 4.76 Kwacha (-1.88%) on the Wholesale Price and a drop of 4.82 (-1.88%) on the Retail Price. The price of Sugar dropped by 26.21 Kwacha (-1.88%) on the Wholesale Price and a drop of 28.36Kwacha (-1.88%) on the Retail Price.
VEGETABLES
The wholesale and retail prices of Cabbage, White Onions (12kgs, 30kgs, 73kgs bags) and Red Onion Ponchos (12Kgs, 30kgs, & 50kgs) remained unchanged. Cucumbers 75kg bag whose Wholesale price increased by 300Kwacha 42.86% and a retail price increase of 700Kwacha 87.50%. Eggplant 75kg bag wholesale price increased by 50Kwacha 33.33% and a retail price increase of also 50Kwacha 25% increase Green Pepper 50Kg Bag wholesale and retail price increased by150Kwacha a 75% wholesale price increase and 60% retail price increase. Okra 25 kgs bag wholesale price increased by 50Kwacha a 50% increase and a retail price increase of 30Kwacha a 17.65%. Red Onion 75kg bag wholesale price remained the same while the retail prices increased by 500Kwacha a 45.45% increase. A box of Tomatoes Wholesale price increased by 50Kwacha a 25% increase and a retail price increase of 100Kwacha a 40% increase. The Wholesale price of Eggplant (Impwa) 25kgs remained unchanged while the retail price decreased by 20Kwacha a 16.67 decrease.
WORMS
The prices of worms remained unchanged for both the wholesale and retail prices.
