Women Unfriendly Trade Finance (Not TheAfricaWeWant)

PROBLEM An African Government has asked I facilitate more than 500,000MT of Maize valued at US$212,850,000. And 34,000MT of Rice Paddy valued at US$26,517,000. Three (3) Large Milling Companies whom I have vetted are looking for more than 500,000MT of Maize.

The African Government wants full payment before releasing the maize. The Large Milling Companies payment terms are 90 days to 150 days. Despite having the financial muscle and capacity to pay immediately.

AFAWA, AGF, AFDB, ITC, IFC, TDB, We-Fi, and WTO all have Trade Finance to help support women like me. Unfortunately Access to those funds has huge barriers …..

So I ask For How Long?!!! Must Mothers of Africa bear the Financial Burden of Trading with Large Corporates! I share My Story to help shape “The Africa We Want” for African Women Friendly Trade Finance for the backbone of Africa’s economies. #womenintrade #theafricawewant #theafricaiwant #agenda2063 #afcfta #fostinamani #bettagrains #tradefinance
