The price drop is a result of the new green grams harvest supply in the Eldoret market.<\/li>\n<li>In an unfortunate turn of events EAGC has decided that RATIN data will be limited to only authorized subscribers, which is the complete opposite, and a shocking drastic turnaround of the very reason, mission and existence of RATIN, which was a way or tool that quickly allows farmers, traders and processors to get regional market information anywhere, anytime, for more efficient and competitive transactions in food trade between surplus and deficit regions. We respect EAGC\u2019s decision and wish them well in their new strategic direction for RATIN.<\/li>\n<li>Betta Grains continues to be committed to pushing for Africa\u2019s open data in agriculture because we believe in a green revolution for Africa, which will only be achieved by taking market information to smallholder farmers, traders and processors.
