Kenya currently has a lot of maize which has caused the price of maize to drop.\u00a0 According to the Government of Kenya, Ministry of Agriculture, a bag of maize in Nairobi is currently selling at Ksh2,600(US$25.77)\/bag or Ksh29(US$0.28)\/kg, Eldoret Ksh1,800(US$17.84)\/bag or Ksh20(US$0.19)\/kg; and Kitale Ksh1,900(US$18.80)\/bag or Ksh21(US$0.20)\/kg.<\/li>\n<li>The week\u2019s unusual trade flow was Uganda exported a lot more soya beans (260MT) to Rwanda, in comparison the previous three weeks.<\/li>\n<li>Tanzania continues to export a lot of rice (3,916.40MT) to Uganda, the total for June 2018 currently stands at (13,762.82MT) and increasing.<\/li>\n<li>Kenyan farmers continue to look for markets for their green grams, Nairobi traders are currently buying between Ksh4,500(US$44.61)\/bag to Ksh5,000(US$49.57)\/bag, or Ksh45(US$0.44)\/kg to Ksh55.5(US$0.55)\/kg.
